Wairarapa Regional Information

Wairarapa is tucked on the bottom eastern corner of the North Island; remote enough to keep it special, yet close enough to Wellington for a day trip.

This region epitomises the word "charming".

There are darling little cottages renovated to offer B&B accommodation, boutique vineyards serving up wine tasting, historic little villages filled with home made bread shops and a picturesque beach with a picture perfect light house.

A visit to the Mt. Bruce Wildlife Sanctuary is a must if visiting the Wairarapa. See many of New Zealand's rare and endangered birds set in a beautiful native park like setting.
